Packington Estate

HISTORY

The original house was built in 1693 but was substantially altered and extended in the 1770s by the 3rd Earl of Aylesford. It remained almost unchanged for the next 200 years until a serious fire in 1979. The house was restored as near as possible to the original by the present Earl and Countess of Aylesford and is now lived in by their son and daughter-in-law, Lord and Lady Guernsey, and their young family. Although the house is available for functions it remains first and foremost a family home.
