Fishery report
MOLANDS . The warmer sunshine has seen the fish moving into the upper layers with fish showing all around the pool. There were a few 20lb + carp caught and plenty of double figure samples coming to cell or strawberry response boilies fished tight to the island or down the near margin. The match anglers have had nets to nearly 150lb with carp and f1s coming to the pellet waggler or method feeder to the island with wafters or a banded pellet on the hook and down the margins with corn or pellet.
GEARYS . The warmer weather has seen the carp spread around the pool with decent nets possible from most pegs . Carp to high double figures are coming to method feeder with wafter fished out to the middle stumps or up to the islands, bomb or waggler with 8mm pellet at around 30 metres and they are starting to feed down the margins with corn or dead reds fished over micros catching lumps to 20lb. Nice nets of skimmers and roach to 30lb coming to maggot or caster fished over ground bait.
LITTLE GEARYS Fished a little better this week with nets to 80lb coming out in matches and pleasure anglers have had even bigger catches. A small method or pellet feeder with wafter or banded 4mm pellet on the hook, pole fished meat or banded hard pellet fished short or down the margins have been the top tactics. Pegs 7 – 13 and 23-29 have been the most consistent pegs.
ANNIVERSARIES The pegs at the top end of the pool on 1-10 and 19-23 have been the better areas with carp to double figures and f1s to 7lb showing in nets to 70lb. Pole fished pellet or caster shallow and on the deck has been working well ,on the wider areas ,waggler or bomb with 6mm pellet has been picking up a few fish.
SIBLINGS A Still Fishing a little bit tough with nets to 60lb over the weekend with carp to 15lb and f1s to 6lb featuring in catches. Dobbing bread across to the island, maggot or pellet fished down the middle on the deck or shallow and down the margins with corn or maggot over ground bait have all been producing.
SIBLINGS B . Nets to over 80lb this week with the bigger f1s starting to switch onto the caster fished shallow or down the edges. The bigger carp are coming to dobbing along the far side or to corn or dead maggots fished tight up to the far bank or down the margins with fish into double figures showing.
GRATUITIES The carp were showing best on the far corner and the early pegs on the near side with 1-4 and 13-16 producing nets to 50lb on pole fished banded pellet or corn and on a feeder to the island with wafter or dead maggot on the hook. Plenty of silvers to be caught with maggot or caster catching nets to 20lb +
WILLOW Nets to over 60lb in matches with pellet /banjo or method feeder to the middle island catching carp and f1s to 6lb. on the warmer days the pellet waggler can be deadly fishing up to the island. Some nice carp coming down the margins later in the day and dead maggot ,worm or corn over micros or ground bait has been good and catching some of the larger fish.
