Fishery report

MOLANDS The fishing has improved a little over the past week with the f1s starting to have a go and nets to 100lb were being caught in matches. Method feeder with dead reds or wafter fished across to the island ,pole fished chopped worm and caster long or short on the pole and dead maggots fished over ground bait have been the most effective tactics. Carp to 25-8 were caught this week with boilies fished down the margins working best for the bigger fish.

GEARYS The carp are showing all around the pool but the hot pegs have been 7-13,17-19 and 31-36 with nets to 125lb coming out in matches. Bomb or waggler with 8mm pellet, slapping or mugging shallow and on the deck at 10-14m have been the top tactics. Carp anglers have reported fish to 21lb with boilies fished with good spread of free offerings or fishing a PVA bag out to the middle stumps best for the better quality fish

LITTLE GEARYS Match nets to 130lb + this week and decent catches coming from all around the pool. Pole with pellet or caster fished shallow on the jigga has still been the top tactic fished out at 11-14m or down the edges but method feeder or pellet feeder to the island , water waggler with 6mm pellet and down the edges with maggot ,pellet or paste are also worth a go.

ANNIVERSARIES Nets to around 60lb were caught this week with f1s and small carp showing on most pegs. Bomb or waggler in the open water fishing banded 6mm pellet on the hook accounted for the better nets but pole fished caster or pellet fished shallow also working well.

SIBLINGS A Nets to 60lb this week with carp to 15lb and f1s to 6lb being caught on long pole up to the island with corn or dead reds over ground bait, down the middle with caster or hard pellet fished shallow or on the deck. The margins with corn or pellet have been out fishing everything as the day goes on with some big fish showing later on in the day. .

SIBLINGS B F1s in the 1-4lb range and carp to double figures were showing well this week in match nets to nearly 90lbwith caster, pellet or maggot fished shallow the top tactic with paste or meat fished short a good alternative. Dobbing produced some better sized carp with fish to double figures coming to this. Later in the day fishing down the margins with pellet, worm or paste over micros has worked well

GRATUITIES Carp have been showing better with fish to 15lb coming to surface tactics, pellet waggler to the island and pellet or dead maggot fished down the margins . Nice bags of silvers still coming out with skimmers, roach, perch and chub responding to maggot or caster over ground bait.WILLOW Fishing well with lots of tactics working now including water waggler or feeder fished really tight to the island for carp and f1s to 5lb, shallow pole and jigga with caster or pellet for f1s and down the margins with corn, meat or pellet for bigger carp with fish to 18lb reported this week
