Fishery report

MOLANDS . Anglers fishing the nights have enjoyed the best of Molands this week with catches of up to 20 carp being caught and a number of fish over 20lbs reported and Boilies fished over a bag or a large method feeder have been the best approach at night. In the matches bomb or waggler with 8 mm pellet or method feeder fished across to the island and late in the day down the margins with corn or worm fished over micros has been the top tactics. Carp anglers have enjoyed good success on surface baits or with boilies fished over a PVA bag tight up to the far bank. Best areas have been pegs 1- 10 ,19-25,43-48 and 54 -60

GEARYS  Still fishing really well with match weights to over 200lb and lots of 100lb + nets coming from all around the pool with bomb or waggler  with 8mm pellet ,long or short pole with pellet and method feeder with wafter on the hook all working well. Pleasure anglers are reporting some huge catches with carp to 22lb featuring in catches of 40 fish with the specimen anglers finding that feeding 15 or 18mm boilies has worked well using a 18mm on the hook and spodding particles.

LITTLE GEARYS  In good form with nets to over 200lb with  carp up to 20lbs . Shallow pole with pellet or caster, method feeder fished across to the island with wafter, dead reds or expander pellet on the hook and short pole with meat or pellet have been catching. Pleasure anglers fishing down the margins in the evenings have had some terrific catches on corn fished over micros.

SIBLINGS A  . A little more consistent this week with match weights to around 70lb and most pegs producing good nets of carp and f1s.Meat, banded hard 4mm or expander pellet fished tight up to the island or down the margins has worked best during the day and in the evenings corn or worm over micros is accounting for some quality carp as well,

SIBLINGS B  A little better with nets to around 50lb. Meat, worm or corn fished down the edges or the far bank has picked up better sized carp and f1s later in the day. The most consistent pegs have been 5- 13 with the fish sitting in the far bank reeds, so you need to get tight up for best results.

ANNIES  Still fishing ok with nets to around 70lb and carp to double figures and f1s to 5lb being caught on most pegs. Pole fished pellet ,maggot or corn has worked well fishing up to the islands or any feature. On the wider pegs bomb  or waggler with 6 or 8mm pellet or wafters can be get plenty of bites.

WILLOW  , Willow has been fishing well this week with plenty of carp and f1s showing on most pegs. Fishing tight to the island with wagglers or feeders and down the margins with worm or corn over micro pellets is the way to go at the moment.

GRATUITIES     Plenty of carp in the 2-4lb range being caught on the pole or waggler fished down the middle of the pool with corn, banded pellet or expander on the hook, a small method feeder to the island with pellet or wafter has also been working well. Fish maggot or caster for some nice silver catches including quality roach,  chub and skimmers.
