Fishery report

MOLANDS  In really good form considering the water is still very clear but carp and match anglers have enjoyed good results. 2 anglers fished the night on pegs 15 and 16 and caught 25 fish with 7 going over 20lb and the biggest a mirror of just over 25lbs. In the matches nets to over 110lb were caught and the fish seem to be spreading around the pool with pegs 1-20 and 44- 60 in the best form. Waggler or bomb fished upto the island or long pole with 4 or 6mm banded hard pellets have been the best approach.

GEARYS  Nets to over 130lb again this week with the shallower water at the far end still producing the better catches but carp are showing all around the pool with fish to over 20lb coming to the bomb and PVA bag ,waggler and 8mm pellet, method feeder with wafters and pole with 6mm banded hard pellet. Nice nets of skimmers coming from all around the pool with maggot over groundbait working best for nets to 35lb.

LITTLE GEARYS  Fishing better with f1s showing on most pegs and  nets to 80lb. Pole fished maggot either long, short or down the margins has been the top tactic with bomb with 6mm pellet /wafter, maggot feeder or a small method feeder also worth a go.

SIBLINGS A  Starting to pick up with nets to 50lb at the weekend with the milder conditions getting the fish moving. Dobbing bread or corn across to the island or down the edges and short pole with maggot or pellet has been the top tactics.

SIBLINGS B   A little better this week with nets to 40lb best and  carp and f1s showing on most pegs with pole pellet/maggot fished down the middle or bread dobbed across to the far bank working best.

ANNIES Has been producing nets to over 50lb and f1s and small carp are coming bomb with 6mm pellet and wafters,or a small method/hybrid feeder  with the pegs at the top end of the pool from 1-10 and 20-23 are still in the best form.

WILLOW Pool has seen weights to over 60lb with the flyer peg 5 in the best form at the moment. A small method/banjo feeder with wafter, waggler or long pole with banded pellet have all accounted for carp and f1s this week.
