Fishery report

MOLANDS  . Sport picked up this week with the more changeable conditions with carp to 23lb, f1s to 9lb and tench to 5lb featuring in catches. In matches nets to over 130lb were caught with the top tactic was to fish meat short or down the margins, pellet waggler or method to the island also worth a go. Carp anglers enjoyed good sport fishing boilies or big pellet out to the island.

GEARYS . Still fishing well with match weights to over 130lb and carp to over 20lb being caught. The best tactics in matches have been the pellet waggler, pole and hard pellet both shallow or on the bottom and method feeder with wafter or dead maggot on the hook. Carp anglers have caught well using a boilie fished over a PVA bag . Top pegs have been 9-15 ,19-22 and 27-32

LITTLE GEARYS Fished much better this week with nets to 180lb coming out in matches and catches have included plenty of carp from 15-20lb. Like all of the pools the F1s have switched onto the meat fished short or in the margins but a small method feeder to the island or bomb and pellet is also working. Pegs 7 – 13 and 23-29 have been the most consistent pegs.

ANNIVERSARIES Nets to around 50lb best with pegs 1-10  and 14-17 most consistent. Pole fished pellet or caster shallow and on the deck has been working well ,on the wider areas ,waggler or bomb with 6mm pellet has been picking up a few fish.

SIBLINGS A  Fished much better this week with match nets to 110lb with carp to 15lb and f1s to 6lb featuring in catches. The best tactic has been meat fished short but long down the margins on corn ,dead reds or pellet fished over micros is also working. Shallow pellet or caster is also starting to produce and a mugging rig can pick up a few better sized carp.

SIBLINGS B . Nets to over 110lb this week with  the bigger f1s starting to switch onto the caster fished shallow or down the edges. The bigger carp are coming to dobbing along the far side or to corn or dead maggots fished tight up to the far bank or down the margins with fish into double figures showing.

GRATUITIES Carp nets to around 50lb coming to a method feeder to the island, pellet waggler or down the margins on corn or meat. Nice mixed nets of carp ,f1s, skimmers ,roach and even a few chub coming to pole fished maggot or caster .

WILLOW   Shallow pole with caster or pellet is accounting for the bigger catches with carp and f1s to 5lb coming to this. Pellet waggler or method feeder to the island is also working and later in the day carp and f1s are coming down the margins with meat ,corn or worms fished over micros accounting for some nice fish.
